Welcome to The Healers House

A multidimensional healing space where we engage in the Sacred Ritual of Ceremony, Initiation, Plant Spirit Medicine, Therapeutic Movement, Intuitive Bodywork & Storytelling.

“Be the light”

The Healers House was born from a vision of creating a sacred space to restore, connect and heal. Megan began her journey into this work studying Yoga and Holistic Massage. She was introduced to Reiki when her first daughter was born. After her initiation, Megan continued the path of The Healers Journey studying multiple modalities and teachings that broadened her knowledge and experience in the Healing Arts. Her love for Herbalism and the messages from plants pulled her in the direction of Plant Spirit Medicine and she found that through plants she could deepen the healing experience. Through these years of studies Megan has been able to cultivate a truly unique healing experience incorporating Reiki and Plant Medicine in each session. It is her hope that whomever is guided to work with her will realize their full potential, inner divinity, and their innate ability to self heal.

“My journey has been a long one and some days I feel like I just started. Even so, I believe in my heart that I was placed here on this beautiful Earth to be of service and to help people. Thank you for trusting and for walking this path alongside me.”

xx Megan

Plant Medicine

Megan began her Herbal studies with Rosemary Gladstar’s The Art of Herbalism Course in 2016. Since then she has broadened her scope of herbs from a clinical perspective to the spiritual realms that plants traverse. In addition to Mrs. Gladstar’s studies Megan has studied under Asia Suler of One Willow Apothecaries and The School of Evolutionary Herbalism.

Yoga

In 2013 Megan received her Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training Certificate. Yoga was her catalyst into Holistic Wellness. It took her beyond her physical body and taught her a way to connect with her inner world with more awareness and understanding.

FAQs

  • Reiki is a gentle approach to balancing our energetic body through the subtle shifting and clearing of those pathways. A Reiki practitioner uses Tenohira, or Palm healing with the intention to guide the flow of healthy energy (what’s known in Reiki as life force energy or Ki) through the client's body to reduce stress and promote healing. Reiki has also been proven to aid in healing from injury or illness. A Reiki practitioner uses this Life Force Energy to help reawaken the body’s innate wisdom to heal itself.

  • “There is only one active ingredient in plant medicines: friendship. A plant spirit heals a patient as a favor to its friend-in-dreaming, the doctor.”

― Eliot Cowan, Plant Spirit Medicine: A Journey into the Healing Wisdom of Plants

Plants are sentient beings. They carry within them a biography of wisdom, wisdom that even the most seasoned Herbalists, Biologists or Curandera have yet to discover fully. The spirit of a plant is the essence of the plants wisdom. We experience it through their medicinal qualities and affinities for specific organs in our bodies but within the framework of those organs there is also an energetic system or network that communicates directly to us. We. may experience it as symptoms like back pain or joint pain but often the underlying cause of these symptoms can be blocks in our energetic body. The spirit of the plants work in harmony with these energies and help assist in their movement creating a free flow of energy so the body can heal.

  • All Reiki sessions are experienced fully clothed and on a massage table. Palm healing takes place with the laying of hands on or hovering around the body. We often start laying face up and move to the belly half way through the session depending on the needs of the client. Once we have completed the session we will go over what came through and suggestions for further assistance if needed.

  • Reiki is the primary modality that I offer services for but within that practice I am also accessing my abilities to channel, intuitive bodywork, tuning fork therapy and Plant Spirit Medicine. I choose to integrate these modalities in each session to create a balanced healing experience. For example, each client will be given a personalized herbal blend to take home as a tea to better integrate their healing experience. It is my intention that the people that come to see me will leave with more clarity and lightness of being.
